The wireless WLAN USB module offers the option to easily add wireless network communication to the PIP. It supports wireless LAN IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards as well as host interface USB 2.0 and is using the Ralink RT3070 chipset.
The solution is installed inside the PIP next to the PC/104-Plus expansion and is connected with a cable to the internal USB header of the PIP. The module can be mounted into every PIP housing without loosing space for additional PC/104-Plus and/or PC/104 cards.
As antenna solution we recommend to use the WLANANT-1 option. This includes the antenna assembly consisting of a 33cm coaxial cable connected to the WLAN-USB module and a vertical adjustable rubber antenna that is mounted on the PIP front. If you require the antenna remote mounted, please talk to us so we can offer a different solution.
Features
- 802.11b/g/n standards, 2.4 GHz /11 Mbps and 54 Mbps bandwidths
- Host interface supports USB 2.0
- Module is easily mountable and well fasten
- Still sufficient space for additional PC/104-Plus cards
- Temperature range (up to) -40...+75°C
- Antenna solutions for fix mounting on housing as well as remote mounting
The combination of a PIP and the WLAN-USB module is a complete, compact, and clever solution for industrial applications that require wireless LAN functionality.
