Der cPCI-SC2 ist ein reichhaltig ausgestatteter CompactPCI® Serial Hochleistungs-Singleboard Computer im 3HE/4TE Format. Ein Intel Core i3, i5 oder i7 Dual-/Quad-Core Prozessor der 4. Generation (Haswell) bietet eine hohe Performance bei moderater Verlustleistung. Der cPCI-SC2 verfügt frontseitig über zwei Gigabit Ethernet-Ports, zwei USB-3.0 Ports und zwei Mini-Displayport-Anschlüsse (DisplayPort 1.2 mit MST), die als erweiterter Desktop konfiguriert werden können.
Der cPCI-SC2 kann mit bis zu 16 GB low-power RAM mit ECC-Support ausgestattet werden. 8 GB Speicher können dabei "Rugged-Anwendungen" direkt auf die Prozessorkarte gelötet und weitere 8 GB können über einen DDR3 ECC SO-DIMM-Sockel bestückt werden. Ein on-board SATA 6Gb/s RAID Controller, der über die Backplane verfügbar ist, sorgt für eine performante Anbindung von Massenspeichern. Alternativ können onboard SSD-Mezanine Module aufgesteckt werden. Die cPCI-Backplane-Anschlüsse der SC1 sind PICMG CompactPCI Serial-System-Slot konform.
