Moxa releases ONVIF compatible industrial IP surveillance solutions

Moxa announced that its VPort 461 industrial video server now complies with ONVIF, which allows the product to be easily integrated with any existing IP-based security system, enhancing interoperability and deployment flexibility. ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum, www.onvif.org) is a non-profit organization that aims to develop a global open standard for the interface of IP-based security products.

Complying with ONVIF specifications enables the VPort 461 to communicate with other ONVIF-enabled security and surveillance equipments via a wide range of protocols. ONVIF support can thus make it easy for system integrators and end users to integrate IP-based security products from different vendors, leading to reduced installation costs. Support for ONVIF can also help future-proof a company's investment in IP surveillance solutions.

Moxa's VPort 461 is a 1-channel H.264/MJPEG industrial video encoder that supports full D1 resolution with up to 30/25 (NTSC/PAL) frames per second, three simultaneous streams, video latency under 200 ms, SD/SDHC slots for local storage, two Ethernet ports for cascading or port redundancy, pre-alarm recording and two-way audio service.

In addition, the VPort 461 is equipped with Moxa's innovative DynaStream function that can automatically reduce or increase video frame rates for network efficiency.

With industrial features, such as -40...+75°C operating temperature, IP30-rated form factor protection, high MTBF, redundant power inputs, and fanless design, the VPort 461 is suitable for harsh industrial environments. The VPort 461 also supports Modbus/TCP for seamless integration with SCADA and automation systems.

In the coming months, Moxa will continue to unveil more ONVIF-compliant IP surveillance products, including 4-channel H.264/MJPEG industrial video encoders and IP cameras.
