The NIC1GBT is a conduction cooled quad 10/100/1000Base-T switched mezzanine card (XMC) featuring the Intel 82574IT Gigabit Ethernet controller. The NIC1GBT meets customer and application needs for 10/100/1000BaseT network support via a host or carrier card.
The product supports an operating temperature of -40...+85°C and is single width VITA 42.0 XMC compliant.
A PCI Express® switch provides access to the four Intel 82574IT Gigabit Ethernet controllers. Each Ethernet interface supports 10, 100 and 1000Mbits/s transmission rates for full duplex operation, 10 and 100Mbit/s transmissions for half duplex operation, and is equipped with a 32 Kbit serial EEPROM.
Each interface of the NIC1GBT can perform auto- negotiation to find the best link parameters supported by itself and the link partner. The module is widely user configurable via configuration and status register access over the PCI Express interface.
The NIC1GBT routes all four 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet ports to the XMC rear I/O P16 connector. Two ports are mapped in the X12d range and two ports are mapped in the X8d range specified in VITA 46.9 standard.
All ports are galvanically isolated from the Ethernet controllers and LEDs on the board indicate the different network activities. VxWorks®, Microsoft® Windows® and Linux® driver support is available.
