The NIC10GFT is a dual port 10GbE XMC featuring the Intel® x540 dual 10GbE controller. The NIC10GFT meets customer and application needs for 10GBASE-T network support via a host or carrier card, and will auto-negotiate between 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 10Gbps speeds.
The NIC10GFT supports a number of features including flow control, integrated IPsec security engines, optimized queues, IPv6 offloading, advanced filtering capabilities, and Tx/Rx IP, TCP and UDP checksum offloading. It is equipped with a 16 Mbit serial Flash memory which is accessed by hardware at power-up, and has a firmware area that can be accessed by software. The NIC10GFT also integrates a PCI Express™ Gen 2 interface supporting x1, x2, x4 or x8 lane widths.
A standard single width VITA 42.0 XMCcompliant board, the NIC10GFT provides driver support for VxWorks®, Windows® and Linux®.
