Der NB800 schafft robuste Internetverbindungen für Anwendungen wie Verkaufsautomaten, Ticketing oder Fernwartung. Der kleine Formfaktor und die reduzierten Features machen ihn zum idealen Gerät für einfache Konnektivitätsaufgaben.

Der industrielle Router bietet Schlüsseltechnologien für alle Anwendungen im Internet, aber auch für Intranet-Sites und Remote-Stationen, die über seine leistungsfähige VPN-Protokoll-Suite einschließlich OpenVPN und IPsec verbunden werden können.

Das integrierte Modem unterstützt MIMO LTE und stellt eine WWAN-Konnektivität mit bis zu 100 Mbit/s sicher. Mit dem Ethernet Port können weitere Geräte oder Netzwerke angeschlossen werden.

Ein Hardware-Shield Konzept bietet zusätzliche Flexibilität, um aus dem NB800 ein anwendungsspezifisches, massgeschneidertes Gerät (OEM) zu machen oder dem technologischen Wandel zu folgen. Folgende Shields befinden sich derzeit in Entwicklung: Digitale I/Os, RS-232, RS-485, CAN, GNSS und LoRa.

Das hochwertige Aluminiumgehäuse in Kombination mit dem unterstützten Temperaturbereich von -40...+70 °C stehen für die Robustheit des Gerätes. Mechanischen und thermischen Belastungen hält der NB800 stand.

Es ist möglich, Kundenanwendungen in einem LXC-Container auszuführen. Das SDK ist ein tolles Werkzeug, um alle Arten von Anwendungen mit einfachen Skripten zu implementieren. Die Datenvorverarbeitung kann so direkt auf dem Router durchgeführt werden, wodurch ein zusätzlicher IPC gespart werden kann.

Weitere Features sind ein intelligenter Link-Manager für optimierte WAN-Verbindungen, Quality of Service (QoS) für einen effizienten Datenaustausch, E-Mail und SMS für Benachrichtigungen, einen Web-Server und RADIUS-Authentifizierung sowie versteckte SSIDs für WLAN.
