The NB3800 is a high-speed and ruggedized cellular router designed for rail environments. Its rail industry approvals, versatility, security features and performance make it ideal for applications such as passenger information, passenger WiFi or even mining.
Its features include two LTE modules which can be bundled, one WiFi access point with latest IEEE 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) standard, GNSS for positioning, 2 Gigabit and 3 Fast Ethernet ports and 1 TB internal storage capacity.
The router is compliant with the mandatory requirements of EN 50155 and EN 45545-2. Communications interfaces include hardened connectors, including M12 for Ethernet, as well as TNC connectors for antenna connections.
The software is based on well proven components including an embedded Linux operating system and a powerful communication protocol suite. Customer specific software extensions may be implemented via a sophisticated SDK or Linux containers (LXC).

Der NB3800 ist ein leistungsstarker und robuster Mobilfunk-Router, der für den Einsatz im Schienenverkehr konzipiert ist. Mit seinen Zulassungen für die Bahnindustrie, seiner Vielseitigkeit, seinen Sicherheitsmerkmalen und seiner Leistung ist er ideal für Anwendungen wie WLAN für Fahrgastinformation, Passagier-WLAN oder auch Mining geeignet.
Zu seinen Merkmalen gehören zwei LTE-A Pro Module, die gebündelt werden können, ein WLAN-Access-Point mit dem neuesten IEEE 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) Standard, GNSS zur Ortung, 2 Gigabit- und 3 Fast Ethernet-Ports sowie 32 GB interner Speicherkapazität.
Der Router erfüllt die verbindlichen Anforderungen der Normen EN 50155 und EN 45545-2. Zu den Kommunikationsschnittstellen gehören gehärtete Anschlüsse, darunter M12 für Ethernet, sowie TNC-Stecker für Antennenanschlüsse.
