Ruggedized Industrial Router with LTE, WiFi, GNSS and 4x Ethernet

The NB1601 combines a cellular router and a WiFi in one device. Four
Ethernet ports, digital I/O, a serial port and an extension slot enable
applications as condition monitoring or telemetry.
As the successor to the well-established NB1600, the new NB1601 industrial
router offers the key technologies for stationary applications requiring
reliable Internet access. The NB1601 enables wireless Internet access and
ensures high availability using two SIM cards from different providers. As
a special highlight, the NB1601 offers four Ethernet ports, which are highly
configurable. Each port can be configured either as a LAN or as a WAN
port. The also integrable WLAN IEEE 802.11abgn module opens up further
possibilities for easy integration of devices into the network. The router also
has GNSS with the satelite systems GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.
For the application as a device server, the router also has an isolated binary
digital input and a relay output for connecting sensors and actuators as well
as a serial interface. The NB1601 comes with an USB port which allows fast
configuration and firmware update via memory stick. In addition, there is a
set of expansion interfaces such as digital I/Os, RS-232, RS-485, CAN and IBIS
or an additional modem available. The durable metal housing suitable for
DIN rail mounting in combination with the supported temperature range -40
°C to 70 °C stands for robustness and enable use in challenging conditions.
It's possible to run customer applications in a LXC Container. The SDK
environment allows to implement all types of applications with simple
scripts. Data preprocessing can be done directly on the router, thus saving
an additional IPC.
The supplied router software is based on well proven components including
an embedded Linux operating system and a wide range of communication
and routing protocols as Mobile IP, OSPF, BPG and RSTP. With its powerful
VPN protocol suite, remote devices can easily and securely be connected.
Other features include a smart Link Manager for optimized cellular
connections, Quality of Service (QoS) for an efficient data exchange, EMail
and SMS for alarming and notifications, a web server and RADIUS
authentication and hidden SSID’s for WLAN.

Der NB1601 kombiniert Mobilfunk-Router und WiFi Access Point in einem Gerät. Vier Ethernet-Ports, digitale I/Os, ein serieller Port und ein Erweiterungssteckplatz ermöglichen Anwendungen wie Condition Monitoring, Remote Management oder Telemetrie.
Als Nachfolger des etablierten NB1600 bietet der neue Industrierouter NB1601 die Schlüsseltechnologien für stationäre Anwendungen, die einen zuverlässigen Internetzugang voraussetzen. Dies stellt der NB1601 über bis zu zwei LTE-Modems und zwei SIM-Karten verschiedener Netzwerk-Anbieter sicher. Als besonderes Highlight bietet der NB1601 vier Ethernet-Ports, die umfangreich konfigurierbar sind. Jeder Port kann entweder als LAN oder als WAN-Port eingerichtet werden. Das ebenfalls verfügbare WLAN IEEE 802.11abgn Modul eröffnet weitere Möglichkeiten zur einfachen Integration von Geräten in das Netzwerk. Der Router verfügt auch über GNSS mit den Satellitensystemen GPS, GLONASS, Galileo und BeiDou.
Für den Einsatz als Device Server verfügt der Router zusätzlich über einen isolierten binären Digitaleingang und einen Relaisausgang zum Anschluss von Sensoren und Aktoren sowie eine serielle Schnittstelle. Der NB1601 hat einen USB-Anschluss, der eine schnelle Konfiguration und Firmware-Aktualisierung über einen Memory-Stick ermöglicht. Darüber hinaus stehen eine Reihe von Erweiterungsschnittstellen wie digitale I/Os, RS-232, RS-485, CAN und IBIS oder ein zusätzliches Modem zur Verfügung. Das langlebige Metallgehäuse, das sich für die Hutschienenmontage eignet, in Kombination mit dem unterstützten Temperaturbereich von -40...+70°C, steht für Robustheit und ermöglicht den Einsatz unter schwierigen Bedingungen. Kundenanwendungen können in einem LXC-Container ausgeführt werden. Die SDK-Umgebung ermöglicht es, alle Arten von Anwendungen mit einfachen Skripten zu implementieren. Die Datenvorverarbeitung kann direkt auf dem Router erfolgen, wodurch ein zusätzlicher IPC eingespart wird.
Die mitgelieferte Router-Software basiert auf bewährten Komponenten wie einem embedded Linux-Betriebssystem und einer Vielzahl von Kommunikations- und Routing-Protokollen wie Mobile IP, OSPF, BPG und RSTP.
