Der NB1601 bietet die Schlüsseltechnologien für stationäre Anwendungen, die einen zuverlässigen Internetzugang benötigen. Der industrielle Router bietet als besonderes Feature gleich vier Ethernet-Ports, die in hohem Masse konfigurierbar sind. Zudem ist er mit digitalen I/O, seriellen Schnittstellen sowie einem USB 2.0-Port ausgestattet. Dazu kommt ein LTE-Modul für sowie ein kleiner WLAN-Access-Point.

Das hochwertige Metallgehäuse, das sich für die Montage auf DIN-Schiene eignet, in Kombination mit dem unterstützten Temperaturbereich -40 °C bis 70 °C, bietet die Robustheit, die den Einsatz im industriellen Umfeld ermöglicht. Damit, und den vielseitigen Features, eignet sich der NB1601 für Anwendungen wie Zustandsüberwachung, Automatisierung und Remote Management.

Die Software basiert auf bewährten Komponenten wie einem Embedded Linux und einer leistungsfähigen Kommunikationsprotokollsuite sowie VPN-Technologien wie OpenVPN. Kundenspezifische Softwareerweiterungen können über ein ausgeklügeltes SDK implementiert werden.
