IP66, IP67
Das IP-Schutzbewertungssystem ist ein Standard, der in der internationalen Norm IEC 60529 definiert ist. Dieses Einstufungssystem klassifiziert den Schutzgrad, den ein Gehäuse für elektrische Geräte gegen Feststoffe (z.B. Staub) und Flüssigkeiten (Wasser, Öl etc.) bietet.
Der Schutzumfang, den ein Gehäuse bietet, wird durch ein System aus zwei Ziffern (IPXX) wie nachfolgend beschrieben gekennzeichnet. Die erste Ziffer kennzeichnet den Schutzumfang gegen feste Fremdkörper, die zweite Ziffer kennzeichnet den Schutzumfang gegen Flüssigkeiten.
