FINE

Flexible IO node Expander for MPL PIP

The FINE is designed to expand MPL PIP Family (over the internal PCIe/104 bus) with up to 4 additional Mini PCI Express sockets. So many different IO interfaces can be supported with only one FINE adapter card.
Also Mini-SIM modules like GPS, LTE, 3/4G, Serial, Fieldbus (CAN, Profibus), Avionics modules (ARINC, 1553), MVB for Railways, etc. are supported for any mPCIe WAN device. The size of a PIP case is only 65mm in height and allows to install 6 mPCIe.

Each mPCIe socket resides on its own PCIe link. So the maximum interface speed available from the host board is used, but on the other hand no other PCIe/104 card can be stacked.

The FINE has been designed to withstand harsh environments and extreme temperature conditions. The special rugged design, combined with the best industrial-grade components, offer high reliability and long-term performance.

Key Features

Expansion Options by MPL for PIP and CEC Systems Embedded Computer Expansion Options for MPL Systems
This expansion concept is unparalleled in the embedded and rugged computer market industry. It helps to differentiate the customers end product, but still have just one base board version and keeping maintenance, stock, and efforts on a very low level. This, paired with the fact that the products are available for 10+ years and can be repaired at MPL for 20+ years, makes the Total Cost of Ownership extremely attractive. more
