Diese Norm gilt für alle elektronischen Einrichtungen für die Steuerung, die Regelung, den Schutz, die Versorgung usw., die auf Schienenfahrzeugen installiert sind und verbunden sind mit:
- entweder der Akkumulatorenbatterie des Fahrzeuges oder
- einer Niederspannungsstromversorgung mit oder ohne direkten Anschluss an die Netzspannung (Transformator, Spannungsteiler, Hilfsstromversorgung) mit Ausnahme der elektronischen Starkstromkreise, die EN 50207 entsprechen.
