Power Relay Module for Industrial and High-Reliability Applications

The DM6956HR dataModule combines 16 power relay outputs and 16 Opto-coupler inputs on one board. The relays may be used to reliably switch voltages from 5 VDC up to 220 VAC.

The onboard relays have two identical pairs of contacts. These contacts are connected in parallel. Both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) contacts are available at the I/O connectors. This board can be used in applications such as AC or DC power circuit breaking, motor and actuator control or voltage level shifting. The Opto-isolated digital inputs are factory set for a +5 V input with triggering at 3.0 V.

The Opto-couplers inputs are reverse voltage protected and can accept inputs up to +15 V. The relay outputs of the DM6956HR are inactive after reset. A software controlled "host reset disable" feature can ensure that the outputs maintain their state even if the system is reset. This will prevent uncontrolled output operation in cases of accidental host system reset.
