Featuring CIP Safety technology, Brad® EtherNet/IP* CIP* Safety HarshIO Modules are designed for connecting industrial safety controllers to sensors and actuators in harsh duty environments.

Designed for the space constraints of automotive assembly line applications, the 60mm wide housing delivers enhanced space savings. The Safety HarshIO Modules are designed for safety applications up to Cat. 4/PLe and provide either 12 safe inputs and 4 safe sourcing outputs (1A module versions) or 12 safe inputs and 2 safe bipolar outputs (2A module versions). Additionally the Safety HarshIO modules support wiring for single and dual channel safety I/O devices.

Ethernet Media Redundancy and daisy-chaining enable DLR capabilities through a built-in 2-port Ethernet switch. By eliminating the need for multiple Ethernet switches, configuration and operation is simplified and costs are reduced.

The module´s configuration is stored in an overmolded memory key, which speeds up module replacement while eliminating special tools or recommissioning. Self-monitoring and diagnostics LEDs simplify maintenance. Mission time exeeds 20 years.
