AcroPack®-Module sind eine robuste Version einer Mini-PCIe-Karte. AcroPacks fügen einen nach unten gerichteten 100-poligen Steckverbinder hinzu, um E/A-Signale intern durch die Trägerkarte zu leiten und Feldanschlüsse zu sichern, wodurch lose Kabel vermieden und die Zuverlässigkeit erhöht werden.

APZU-Module bieten ein programmierbares Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ Multiprozessor-System auf einem Chip (MPSoC). Dieser MPSoC kombiniert ein funktionsreiches ARM-basiertes Verarbeitungssystem und programmierbare Logik in einem einzigen Baustein. Zwei Dual-Core-ARM-Cortex-CPUs (A53-Anwendungsprozessor und R5-Echtzeitprozessor) liefern hochleistungs- Rechenleistung. Weitere Ressourcen sind On-Chip-Speicher, externe Speicherschnittstellen und eine Vielzahl von Peripherie-Schnittstellen. Die integrierte programmierbare Logik der ASIC-Klasse ist ideal für rechenintensive Aufgaben und das Auslagern kritischer Anwendungen.

Der wahre Wert der Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC-Architektur liegt in der engen Integration der programmierbaren Logik mit dem Verarbeitungssystem. Seine Schnittstelle mit hohem Durchsatz beseitigt Engpässe, die bei Zwei-Chip-ASSP-FPGA-Lösungen auftreten, und ermöglicht es Entwicklern, die Fähigkeiten des Prozessorsystems einfach zu erweitern. Jetzt können Entwickler benutzerdefinierte Designs erstellen, indem sie Peripheriegeräte in der programmierbaren Logik hinzufügen und die Gesamtsystemleistung durch Partitionierung von Hardware- und Softwarefunktionen mit benutzerdefinierten Acceleratoren erhöhen.

Diese FPGA-basierten digitalen I/O-Module wurden für COTS-Anwendungen entwickelt und bieten benutzerdefinierte I/O in einem hochdichten und sehr robusten Formfaktor. Typische Anwendungen sind adaptive Filterung, Sensor-Fusion, Motorsteuerung und Bildverarbeitung. Das Engineering Design Kit (EDK) von Acromag bietet ein FPGA-generiertes Firmware-Beispiel-Design, das den Host-Zugriff auf die digitalen Hardware-I/Os des APZU-Moduls ermöglicht. Das Beispiel ist mit der Xilinx Vivado® Entwicklungsumgebung implementiert und bietet einen Ausgangspunkt, von dem aus Kunden ihre kundenspezifischen Anwendungen entwickeln können.
