Mit der fortschreitenden Digitalisierung im Alltag wächst auch die Nachfrage nach multifunktionaler Konnektivität in Fahrzeugen.
Mit seinem IP69K-Gehäuse ist der neue NG800 vor Staub & Hochdruckreinigung geschützt. Er ermöglicht so die robuste Kommunikation zwischen On-Board Fahrzeugausstattung und Cloud-Anwendungen – sogar in rauer Umgebung und zu extremen Temperaturen. Einsatzgebiete des NG800 sind beispielsweise Kommunalfahrzeuge wie für Müllabfuhr, Winterdienst und Strassenreinigung oder Nutzfahrzeuge für Einsatzkräfte, Baugewerbe, Bergbau, Landwirtschaft oder Personentransport.

Für die drahtlose Kommunikation integriert der NG800 ein LTE Modem, einen eUICC-fähigen SIM-Chip (MFF2), WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n, GNSS mit Dead Reckoning, IMU sowie Bluetooth Low Energy. Über einen Molex CMC 48-Pin Stecker lassen sich drahtgebundene Schnittstellen wie CAN, Fast Ethernet, Automotive Ethernet oder RS-232 anschliessen.

Der NG800 ist mit der NetModule Router Software versehen – diese basiert auf bewährten Komponenten wie einem Embedded Linux und einer leistungsfähigen Kommunikationsprotokollsuite sowie VPN-Technologien wie OpenVPN. Kundenspezifische Softwareerweiterungen können über ein ausgeklügeltes SDK implementiert werden.
